Answer 2

I start my tubers in a mixture of 25% vermiculite

and 75% peat size allowing I use 3" pots I prefer

this method to using boxes  if one rots in a box it

may spread the rot to all the tubers in the box.

Ideal temperature for starting tubers is 65 to 70 F

Place the compost in the pot and about half way

place you're tuber in the compost and cover with

compost and water in you should not water again

until growth is showing be careful not to over water.

Once they are showing 3" of growth you can pot up

into 5 or 6" pots of john Innes no-2 compost they can

now grow on at a temperature of 50F.
